Taking care of #1 is important, but some can take that praise too far and become selfish; as I refer to the Little Red Hen situation. We do need to take care of our own needs 1st, so that others don’t have to; while not forgetting that Teamwork makes the Dream work. That being said, you cannot expect others to teamwork for/with you if you don’t do it for/with when. I recall a situation on the land where someone bought a camper off me that I bought off a previous stayer. She felt the camper needed gutting, and expected us to fully assist in her remodeling her camper. Which would not have been a problem, if she didn’t sit on her butt most the time, playing on her phone and not helping with other important things that needed to be done on the farm.
Don’t expect me to work 14 hours a day to pay all the bills and then cater to you if you are going to meet me at least half way. I am not a Bible thumper by all means, but I am looking for Proverbs 31 type of people. I wasn’t all that failure with this bible verse till I started listening to Doc Love for relationship advice. Doc Love teaches men to look for and find Proverbs 31 women, but you have to also be a Proverbs 31 man to get and keep this kind of woman. Therefore, I look to surround myself with Proverbs 31 and 1st Corenthians 13 minded people.
Taking care of number one is important, as long as it is not at the expense of others. With the New World Order “Agendas”, most of them sound nice and wonderful… What people don’t realize is that those nice and fluffy things are for them, not us; and it’s at our expense. We don’t want to be like those people. We also don’t want to be like their brainwashed welfare minded recipients; people who expect others to take care of them, even if they do not deserve it. Two side of the same coin. We are not like those people!
