Prawn & Shrimp

Freshwater Prawn Production in Missouri

We already have some fresh water shrimp in our dry creek, maybe the same kind of shrimp; they only come out of their burls when it rains. The previous land owner said that all the ponds he made on the land kept blowing out, so the shrimp never had the opportunity to get large enough to even be considered for food. These are bottom feeders, so we will not be eating them, nor sailing them for food. These are only going to be used for their cleaning and filtering abilities to keep our ponds clean once we get them to hold water again. They will however make good food for our ducks, geese and maybe even the fish.
