We will be using CES for the time being, but striving towards building an Ubuntu Community here in Cedar County, Mo. CES is a great alternative if you choose to stay within the “exchange” system, but is an OffGrid means of Exchange. CES is more like a time bank and when working CES properly, CES will ultimately become the same as what an Ubuntu Communities wish to achieve.

One of our associates, Randy Bond of The Sky Ranch Inn; talks about “Life Minutes”. Ubuntu theology is the same as Randy’s philosophy. Everyone’s time is of equal value and we all contribute to the community equally. NOT like the “communist theory” was suppose to be; similar, but better. CES also has a similar philosophy, one equally as good in my book; but it still is a means of exchange. The idea is to get rid of money, barter, all forms of currency, usury and slavery all together.
