No matter what the argument is, it is common knowledge that the owner of the Male gets first pick of the litter.
If your livestock is mingled with ours, the owner of the male gets 1st pick of the litter. If your female only has one offspring, you will have to forgo ownership, unless you own the male that bread her as well.
The exception to this is if you live on the land; under the UBUNTU rules, 1/3 of the offspring belongs to the community, at the discretion of the owner(s) of the land and the Elders. If there is one offspring, it goes to the community; or it can be placed on hold till two more have been born. Unless it goes to market. At that time, 1/3 of the offspring or revenue goes to the community; at the discretion of the owner and the Elders. The remaining balance goes to the owners of the buck and doe that produced the offspring.
If there is three offspring; the owner of the stud gets 1st pick, then one offspring goes to the owner of the female, and the other goes to the community (at the discretion of the owner(s) and the Elders). If there is only two offspring; the owner of the stud still gets 1st pick, the 2nd will be put on hold till another is born to brake the tie… or it can go to market and split 50/50. Four or more; same rules apply as above. Owner of the stud gets 1st pick, 1/3 goes to the owner of the female and 1/3 to the community; at the discretion of the owner(s) of the land and the Elders. The extras can be placed on hold till others are born, or they can got to market to split the proceeds.
IF for any reason you want full custody of any protien of the herd that goes to someone else or the community; you may pay them fair market value for the offspring, if they agree.
The exception to this is, if you are paying rent to the community before hand for your animals being on the land. If you had already paid your rent, the community forfeits its 1/3.
